NOW: 3 ways to contribute to the completion of our film!


Working Title:

"Scorched Earth: Beyond The Tipping Point"


TIMELINE

1) Produce a 15-20 minute video to be used for fundraising
Goal: mid-December, 2007
(DONE, as of early Jan. 2008)

2) Raise funds for final project (Scorched Earth)
Goal: Fall 2008

3) Arrange interviews with other principle content experts
Goal: December 2008

4) Finish shooting needed interviews & purchasing footage
Goal: Spring 2009

5) Editing begins on “Scorched Earth”
Goal: late Spring 2009

6) Get musical score finalized
Goal: June or July, 2009

6) Rough cut ready for preview
Goal: September 1, 2009

7) Begin promotion campaign, entering contests
Goal: mid-September 2009

8) Finish editing & final cut
Goal: late October 2009

DISTRIBUTION

The distribution model is based on the work of Green Fire Productions (Karen & Ralf Meyer) for their 2006-2007 tour of Oregon communities along with their film, “Common Ground: Oregon’s Oceans.”

Distribution plan:

1) Sell finished DVD on internet & bricks and mortar book stores and through nonprofit/political organizations.
2) Use sales and/or fundraising to begin a discussion tour in key identified Northwest cities/towns. Invite business and political stakeholders to attend a forum that includes a showing of film with a panel of scientists, business owners, labor and environmental leaders to discuss afterwards; allow long period of Q&A from audience.
