My production experience includes fifteen years producing educational videos for our local hospital. During that time, I learned how to develop a vision of an end product and turn it into a clear, visually interesting reality without any budget to speak of. The foundation for success as a director is, I believe, the self-confidence that comes from knowing you are capable of taking a project from vision to completion.

During my years as corporate video producer I won two national awards and produced a documentary on the nonviolent movement to stop nuclear testing in the Nevada desert. "Peace Test: Nonviolence in Action" had a long-running airing on local public access TV.

As part of a volunteer special project in 2001, I also produced an educational video, "Your Voice Matters," which was widely used by women across Oregon to lobby their state legislature for better funding for women's safety and health.

Most recently, I completed an educational video for a business my brother (Jim Jordan) and I created, Health Freedom Seminars. The 2-hour video, "Legal Guidelines for Natural Health Care Providers," is now available for sale at our website and includes a manual produced by my brother: www.healthfreedomseminars.com/TrainingPkg.htm. I also just finished the first draft of a soon-to-be released educational video about global heating and climate change,
"Scorched Earth: Beyond the Tipping Point." This sobering look at the scientific truth of global climate change was produced in conjunction with Eugene systems scientist and educator, Dr. Alder Fuller, founder of Euglena Academy.

My writing experience includes: a recently completed feature screenplay (Sweet Life); a two-act play; forty or fifty educational video scripts; a great many essays and opinion pieces (some published), letters to the editor and letters to public officials for a number of campaigns and causes and a boatload of bad poetry that got me through my angst-ridden teen years and early adulthood.

I was born with a natural inclination towards empathy, creativity and an appreciation for fine details and raised by parents who had ideas a smidgen out of the mainstream. (This has helped me think "out of the box.") As well, I have honed the skill of diplomacy out of a deep fascination with people and have become adept at many things technical: photography, video production and web design. Taken together, these characteristics lend themselves perfectly to making films.

After many years of creative and political writing, social experiences, self-reflection and life lessons, I am beginning to rediscover the poet in me that has waited patiently to express himself. I have discovered a yearning for creative expression that will not be quelled, nor easily satisfied.
