Peter Eberhardt has lived in the southern Willamette valley since 1965. Trained as a geographer-cartographer at the University of Oregon, Peter has worked in local government and the private sector in Lane County as a Geographic Information System specialist and cartographer.

Recent studies, readings and films on climate change, peak oil, energy conservation and relocalization have added urgency and tension to seek local positive examples of lifestyle and systemic changes. Classes taken at Dr. Alder Fuller’s school in west Eugene in global heating and climate change and Gaia theory have been particularly galvanizing.

Downsizing, simplifying and localizing in Eugene and western Oregon are processes that Peter is deeply committed to.

Peter comments: "Documentary film making seems like one of the fastest ways to share what we learn with others. We look forward to learning a lot along the way."

My YouTube Channel

During his 15 years as corporate video producer John has won two national awards and produced a documentary on the nonviolent movement to stop nuclear testing in the Nevada desert. "Peace Test: Nonviolence in Action" had a long-running airing on public access TV.

As part of a volunteer special project in 2001, John also produced an educational video, "Your Voice Matters," which was widely used by women across Oregon to lobby their state legislature for better funding for women's safety and health.

Most recently, he completed an educational video for a business he and his brother created, Health Freedom Seminars. The 2-hour video, "Legal Guidelines for Natural Health Care Providers," is now available for sale here.

John is also currently producing an educational video about the science of climate change,"Scorched Earth: Beyond the Tipping Point." This sobering look at the truth of global climate change is being produced in conjunction with Eugene systems scientist and educator, Dr. Alder Fuller, founder of Euglena Academy.

John's writing experience includes a recently completed feature screenplay, Sweet Life, a two-act play; and forty or fifty educational video scripts.
