This web site was built using the latest development in high-usability web technology called WordPress!

A WordPress web site puts the editing power where it belongs: with the owner of the web site!

There’s no doubt that many individuals and small businesses find it cumbersome to continually pay someone to keep their web site fresh and up to date. Hence, many web sites quickly become stale and out of date. Enter the development of WordPress*! Once a site has been created to your specifications by a professional web designer, you, the web owner, are set up with editing rights and your own username and password. After the final site has been delivered, you can make your own updates through your web browser any time of day or night. The changes are instantaneous! And the administrative panel to access your web site is clear and easy to use (see a screen capture at the bottom of this page).

Modular Design

There are hundreds of templates (themes) to choose from, most for very reasonable one-time fees. You can just type “WordPress themes” in your favorite search engine and browse for a theme design you like. One of my favorite theme stores is: www.elegantthemes.com (one time charge of only $20!). Keep in mind, the color scheme of these templates (and any WordPress theme) can be changed to colors that you like or that match your logo or company branding. Because of the way WordPress technology is designed, you can change your mind and change themes at any time. (This may require some consultation from your web design professional.)

Options

There are two options for me to create a WordPress web site for you:

• If you already have an established web site, all it takes is $500**, plus the cost of your chosen theme (Ask about our discount for non-profits with 501c3 status.), for you to have your existing site (up to 8 pages) translated to a WordPress site! Most professional web hosting companies have all the latest necessary operating system/software configurations to be able to host a WordPress site for you.
• To create an original web site, I charge $75 per hour. (Ask about our discount for non-profits with 501c3 status.) Most web sites are created within 10 to 15 hours, depending on several factors, including how much material (text and images) the client has prepared in advance. My services include setting up web hosting for your new site with one of the preferred, WordPress-friendly hosting companies (BlueHost.com or HostMonster.com, for example). I can also help you find and register a domain name for your business if needed.

As you can see, most of the buttons above the main text entry area are familiar to anyone who has used any of the main word processor programs out there (Microsoft Word, etc.).
